Petersen Automotive Museum

To all the automotive lovers out there, let it be known: this is one of the coolest motor museums in the country. Petersen Automotive Museum on Wilshire Blvd — between West Hollywood and Beverly Hills — is this 100,000 square foot building. The exterior is like a metal, swiss cheese wave that hides a massive red building full of some amazing rides. It’s so popular and big, that it split from LA’s Natural History Museum to become its own entity. A cool feature, not every piece of the museum’s collection is on display. Guests will see about 150 vehicles inside while the rest are hidden within their vault. An interesting way of keeping a car lovers' eye’s fresh and always wanting more. Inside the museum is very modern feel. A Citywide Spotlight featured destination that includes a walk on the rooftop.  - Jordan Dietterich of Surfside, Florida
