Happy hour is three hours long, folks. The Emerson is one of the newer cocktail destinations to come to Midtown. When walking inside, it looks very classy and includes a touch of a goddess: Marilyn Monroe. Her movies are projecting onto the wall in an atmosphere that seems like Marilyn would talk to Joe Dimaggio in. The Emerson also hits it out of the park with their lite bites. Hummus and any of the flatbreads can enhance the night.

The name says it all. Rum Sugar Lime is a drink stop for anyone in Midtown who loves a taste of luxury in Reno. Maybe wanting to meet someone casually? A drink turns into two, then the bartender is lining up a drink to share. Ask the bartender about all drink options, because it works 60% of the time, every time. Some people may be hesitant to approach the bar by the large wall of bottles. Trust RSL and this amazing vibe of an adult spot.

First round is on me. The Z Bar in Midtown presents an outdoor patio-styled bar with an orange building decorated for a personal feel. People here are nice and friendly, so be open to talking. Never know what a simple “hey” will lead too. As for the drinks, the menu is enticing. Martinis, drinks on fire and a plethora of other options, but if a decision cannot be made — somehow — go with whatever the bartender recommends. Don’t forget to tip the bartender.

Yes, there’s an historic fire in the Fireside Lounge. This vintage vibe bar is within one of the best casinos in Reno: The Peppermill. Everything in here is first class! There’s the comfy and classy seats, an attractive bar, and of course flames. Great music to enjoy the lights and big screen. Locals say this is a taste of old school “Biggest Little City.” It’s a great spot for a night owl looking to keep the night going. Check their specials as well, a cocktail and a $1 appetizer sounds pretty good when it’s two in the morning.
