The Pullman Restaurant

Bryn Mawr on the Main Line blends suburban tranquility with upscale energy—historic train tracks, charming shops, and a professional crowd seeking refined escapes. The Pullman, in a beautifully restored 1940s-era train station, delivers theatrical elegance steps from the platform.

The interior dazzles with old-world grandeur: dramatic mosaic floors, huge chandeliers, one of the largest bars on the Main Line, and train-car-inspired dining rooms. Crisp yet cozy, with live music in the lounge and alfresco railside seating in season—it feels inviting and sophisticated for midday professionals.

Lunch highlights feature New American dishes with Italian influences: fresh seafood, USDA Choice beef, pasta, and locally sourced plates like tuna, red snapper, or short ribs. Presentation is elegant, flavors harmonious and premium.

Owned by Roni Hammer and daughter Jennifer, the restaurant opened in 2022 after a two-year renovation honoring Pullman luxury cars— a mother-daughter vision of nostalgic yet contemporary dining.

Pros: Stunning historic renovation with exceptional service; creative, high-quality fare in a unique setting.

Graceful cons: Suburban location requires a short drive (ample parking); lunch served Monday–Friday only.

As a Diamond, it excels for phenomenal innovation within tradition, impeccable upkeep, and a standout Main Line identity. Select The Pullman for amenities like railside charm, live music options, and refined hospitality that benefits your lunch with style and substance—superior to ordinary suburban spots for its theatrical elegance and heartfelt family drive.
